For answering the following three challenges, Kathy will receive an ETERNAL SUNSHINE SWEATSHIRT and other fine prizes!
1) Complete this song verse: "Sun is shining in the sky, there ain't a cloud in sight -"
Winning answer: "it stopped rainin', everybodies in the lake and don't ya know it's a beautiful new day, hey, hey, hey!"
Judge's comments: Hey, we never said they had to be the correct lyrics! Besides, we think it's more fun to be in a lake (or on one, as in Eternal Sunshine!), than in a play anyway. (and we can't remember hearing this ELO song, Mr. Blue Sky, in the movie... weird!)
2) How many movies about lost memories can you remember? Name them all.
Winning answer: 1 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, of course 2 Bumblebee Flies Anyway 3 Mulholland Dr. 4 50 First Dates 5 Superman 6 The Lost Weekend 7 Memento 8 The Nutty Professor 9 Jekyll and Hyde 10 The American Werewolf in London 11 The Majestic 12 Overboard 13 Fly Away Home 14 Henry 15 The Little Princess 16 The Werewolf 17 Long Kiss Goodnight (good movie) 18 The Bourne Identity 19 Total Recall 20 Spellbound 21 A Place in the Sun
Judge's comments: Wait, she forgot The Butterfly Effect, but then, come to think of it, we'd like to forget about that movie, too. Never mind!
3) If you could erase a famous person from your memory, who would it be and why?
J.R.R. Tolkien, If I didn't know of him, I wouldn't know of Lord of the Rings and my husband could watch another movie besides Lord of the Rings, parts 1 and 2 and soon to be 3. and stop teasing me around my friends how I LOVE LOTR. (although he does too, just too manly to admit - I saw a tear the other day while viewing-hehe)
Judge's comments: Ah, a young, doe-eyed hobbit, placing his faith in the friendship and kindness of others, desperately hanging on to the belief that there's still some good in this cold, harsh world... good that's worth fighting for! (sniff... huh? no, we are not crying, really... um... could you pass the Kleenex?)
